TheSkinClinic is working hard to provide all our patients with much-needed Dermatology services throughout the current Covid-19 pandemic.
With our virtual Dermatology consultation service, you can now see a Dermatologist from the comfort of your own home or office.
How does it work?
Secure video consultations are held using the Zoom video meeting service. Zoom is easy to install and use on any computer or smartphone, and is highly secure.
Your consultation is completely confidential, and will not be recorded by TheSkinClinic or Zoom.
We also provide a telephone consultation service for patients who would prefer this, or are not able to use Zoom.
How do I book an appointment?
After booking, we will ask you to complete the following steps:
- Complete our pre-appointment questionnaire in advance of your consultation. This will be e-mailed to you, and can be completed on your computer or smartphone. The form asks you some questions, and also asks you to take or upload 4 photographs of your skin problem.
- Download the Zoom software on to your device (or use Zoom on a computer, which does not require any download). Instructions are detailed below.
- In your booking confirmation e-mail, you will recieve a Zoom link. Use this link to join TheSkinClinic's virtual waiting room 5 minutes before your appointment time.
How do I use Zoom?
If using Zoom on a computer, no software download is required. Simply click on the link in your appointment booking e-mail, and click on the option that says Join from your Browser. Please note that to use a computer, you will need a webcam, speaker, and microphone.
If using an iPhone/Android smartphone, you will need to download the Zoom app. Use the links below:
